Who We Are

The American Legion is the nation’s largest patriotic, veterans service organization. We are committed to sponsoring programs in our communities, advocating for patriotism and honor, and devoting care to our fellow service members and veterans.

With nearly 2 million members in 13,000 posts world-wide, the American Legion has influenced considerable social change in America.

Membership is open to veterans or active duty service members (A Member), male descendants of veterans (Sons of the American Legion), spouses and female descendants of veterans (Auxiliary), and the local community (Social Member).

Our Story

Wilson Fischer Post 413 recently celebrated its 90th birthday! The Post was founded in 1932 by local World War I veterans Wilson and Fischer.

In 1982, members constructed a Post building through the generosity of community donations. The location now offers its membership and community a facility (available for rental) for meetings and events

Our People

Wilson Fischer Post 413 is home to over 400 members residing in 5 states.
